Victoria Tarot Classes

Elements of Tarot: Jan 28th – Mar 4th
Six Thursday evenings 7 – 9:30pm,
Fan Tan Alley, Cost – Sliding Scale - $200 - 150
An introduction for those with some or no experience. We will work with intuition to communicate with the divine in ourselves and others. Using contemporary and traditional techniques, we will learn how to use this mystical tool.

Deepening into Tarot: Jan 12th – Feb 16th
Six Tuesday evenings 7 – 9:30pm,
Fan Tan Alley, Cost – Sliding Scale - $200 - 150
For those with a basic grasp of the cards, explore a deepening relationship with the mystical encyclopaedia of tarot. Deepening on the work of the first class we draw on other spiritual traditions with Tarot as well as new ways to read.

Ritual Drumming Drop In Circle
Our first drum circle in December was wonderful. We filled up the room with people and drums and rhythms. The circle will run every second Friday of the month in James Bay. The evening is part workshop – for advanced and beginner drummers alike – and part spiritual drumming time. The cost is $15 - $20 Sliding scale. If you are interested let me know and I can give you directions.

Follow the rhythm of the earth, drum in sacred space and learn: technique, core beats, solos and fill, trance drumming, raising energy, drumming as a magical tool. This style of drumming is for use in pagan rituals, ceremonies or jams. No experience required.

Cost for each workshop - Sliding Scale $75 - $100 pre registration required

Tarot Meetup Victoria
Another new event started last month is a Victoria Tarot and Metaphysics Meetup group through Meetup.com. This will be a monthly get together to chat, learn, share and practice all things tarot and intuitive in a casual social setting. The intention is to build community. It is open to the public and anyone you want to bring as well so the possibility of new Tarot friends is also there. The only cost for this meetup is a donation of $5 - 10 to cover the space and website costs. If you are interested please go to:

How to Get the Most from a Reading

  1. Is it Time?

Your instinct will tell you when it is time to get a reading. Just because your friend got one, or you always get one in Spring or the office party has free ones does not necessarily mean you are in a place to really benefit from a reading. Follow your gut – it knows when you are ready.


  1. Who do you see?

What works for one does not for another. Flashy websites, astounding credentials or rave reviews do not necessarily mean this is the right reader for you. Again, listen to your gut to see if there is a connection there between you and the reader you are considering. You want a reading that delivers the compassionate life changing truth you need, so browse from that place.


  1. Questions Questions Questions

What is in a question? The more you know about what you want to look into, the quicker and more detailed the answers can be. The bottom line is that what is important will arise regardless, so a question is not mandatory, but put some thought into what areas of your life could really use some insight. Get specific – “Should I move?” is a question that can address; different location options, timing, who can I ask for help etc. Yes/No questions are difficult to answer with Tarot as it works in Universal Archetypes and not quick answers. A good reader will rephrase these for you – “What do I need to know about moving right now?” Have a couple backup questions on hand incase there is time to look at more than you expected.


  1. Let down your armour

Readers look into your energy. If you sit down with arms folded, legs crossed, a smirk and say – Tell me about me, most of the information will be about how closed off, defensive and skeptical you are. It is possible to break through this energetic armour but I prefer not to as this is often unpleasant, it can mean you were not ready for a reading and did not expect to be seen so deeply. Again, follow your gut, a good reader opens their heart to you to seek your inner truths that you most need to know.


  1. Listen with your heart

"What car should I buy" is as important a question as "Am I following my best spiritual path" because good readings are about helping you align yourself with your best path in this moment. Listen to the answers from a deeper place than the questions. You may find greater insights than you had hoped for.


Intuition is the main tool readers are using to help you live your life. Many years of experimentation and trust that what we see can be useful is what lead many of us to the place they are today. Starting down this path for yourself is the best thing you can do to get the most from any Intuitive Service.
